Why Not Create a Little Beauty Every Day!
Yesterday while waiting for the rain to come, I heard the birds making a ruckus in the branches overhead.  They too knew that rain was coming, and they saw the cat before I did.  The white and black cat that visits our back patio year round.  The birds weren't happy to see him/her, but as she/he moved on, the birds quieted.  It's a dance they do together.
Soon the rain came to call with its lovely rhythm and changing melody, and all the ground was watered.
I used to think I loved the sun the most; but nature plays for our pleasure everyday in different tones and colors.
I wanted to be part of that, so this morning I planted flowers in pots on the deck.  The coleus will thrive in the shade and the geranuim is a regular with its bright red and green.  I'll try tomatoes again, though I never manage enough for even a good salsa.  No matter, I can still see the dirt under my fingernails as I type.  I feel better for having created a little beauty today.

  1. Seeing the beauty in the earth and all that walks upon it marks a soul as worthy of reverence; if she is a reverend, she lives up to the calling. Very nice...
